Shaun Doss, Jr - Arkansas Pine-Bluff
Shaun Doss, Jr., a red-shirt junior guard from Marion, Arkansas, led the University of Arkansas at Pine-Bluff to a victory in their only game this week. In the 91-82 victory versus Alabama State on Saturday, January 9, Doss led the Golden Lions with a 30 point double-double. In 38 minutes of action, Doss tallied 31 points and 10 rebounds. In addition, he contributed 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
Trey Petty - Stillman
Trey Petty, a senior from Huntsville, AL helped the Stillman Tigers get off to a fast start to their season. Coming out of only nine days of organized practice before the 2020-2021 season opener, Trey Petty paced Stillman College to a 3-0 start to the season with 26.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists through three games. With a limited bench of players, Petty posted his first collegiate triple-double in the season opener Jan. 5 at Rust College with 38 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists on 55% shooting. He shot 42% and added 18 points in the Southern States opener against William Carey on Friday without a trip to the free throw line, before posting 24 points and 9 rebounds on 50% shooting Saturday. Blake Harris - North Carolina A&T State
Blake Harris, a 6'3" junior from Chapel Hill, NC, averaged 18 points and 3 rebounds as he led the Aggies to a 2-0 record on the week, with both victories against South Carolina State in MEAC action. In Saturday game, Harris scored 19 points with 2 rebounds and an assist. On Sunday, he followed up that performance with 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.
Kamron Brice - Talladega
Kamron Brice, a 6'5" junior from Tulsa, OK, averaged 13.5 points and 2.5 rebounds as he led the Tornadoes to a 1-1 record, in a pair of non-conference match-ups. In a loss versus Arizona Christian, Brice led the Tornadoes in scoring with 14 points, while adding 5 rebounds, 1 assist and a steal. In a victory versus Lyon College, Brice scored 13 points.
Davion Warren - Hampton
The senior guard from Buffalo, NY averaged 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals while leading the Pirates to a 2-0 record on the week, with both victories coming versus Charleston Southern in Big South action. In a win versus the Buccaneers on December 21, Warren scored 29 points with 8 rebounds while leading the Pirates to a 70-67 win. He followed up that performance, a day later, with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, and 5 steals in the 70-68 victory.
M.J. Randolph - Florida A&M
The junior guard from Pensacola, FL led the Rattlers to a 1-1 record on the week. In a win versus Austin Peay on December 15, Randolph scored 27 points, with 6 assists, and 5 steals as FAMU defeated the Governors 76-70. He followed up that performance with 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in a loss to Georgia Tech on Friday, December 18.
Sai Witt - Lincoln (MO)
Witt, a junior forward from Kansas City, MO, led the Blue Tigers to a 82-78 victory over Emporia State. Witt had a double-double for Lincoln with 19 points and 13 rebounds. He also chipped in 2 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals in the victory over the Hornets.
